Business support in South Liverpool has moved into a new era with the appointment of three business managers to work with companies in our area.

They are not exactly strangers. Mike Poole and Paul Chapman are both familiar faces through their work with the old Speke Garston Partnership. Mike and Paul are joined by Nigel Toone who also has strong links with the area in his role as a relationship manager with Business Link.

"Between them, the team has extensive experience of working with small to medium sized businesses, advising on a range of issues from ICT solutions to workforce issues to availability of finance for expansion or development," says Mike Taylor, chief executive of Business Liverpool - the new name for Liverpool Business Centre.

The new team, branded Business Liverpool South, is working out of Partnership for Learning and gives companies easy access to an even wider range of support services. They can also call upon the central services of Business Liverpool and Business Link where required.

Says Mike Taylor: "The aim of the team is to provide a business support service in South Liverpool that is focused, relevant and readily accessible to its customers. Businesses in this part of the city have become used to the very best standards of service from the public sector, and I have every confidence that this new team will maintain those high standards".
